Literary Genres

Reading and Analyzing Multi-Genre Texts

Multi-genre works are texts comprised of a variety of genres (poems, diary entries, letters, and so forth). Florida Standards address text types and the need for multi-genre texts. For students reading these texts, the challenge is navigating among the different genres and understanding them individually, as well as exploring the ways that they are connected and interrelated.Click on the links below to view ideas for dealing with multi-genre texts.  This activity is an extra you will want to explore.
