As teachers, you promote and model professional practices. You understand local and global responsibilities in media literacy, and ethical behavior practices that accompany media education. It is vital that you advocate, model and teach safe, legal and ethical use of media - digital and traditional information forms. You must model and teach respect for copyright, appropriate documentation of sources and intellectual property. Additionally, you must adhere to and teach media etiquette to your students so they will be responsible with information and safely use a variety of media information. Teachers encourage a type of inquiry that opens minds.
