Criterion-Referenced Assessment
- Criterion-referenced tests are intended to measure how well a student has learned the material taught in a specific grade or subject.
- The information gathered from a criterion-referenced test is used to determine students' mastery of curriculum and how well teachers and /schools are teaching the curriculum.
- Criterion-referenced tests are used to compare the student's test scores against an established criterion or benchmark.
